Ocreative is fueled by a small team of dedicated, passionate, and like-minded marketing professionals who work hard and think BIG. In fact, if you’ve ever worked with Ocreative, the chances are pretty great that you’ve met all of us at least once or twice. We call ourselves a team, but at the end of the day, we’re more like family. We spend 40 to 50 hours a week together, brainstorming, troubleshooting, and executing what we think is some of the best darn creative around.
It is equally important to us that our clients feel comfortable with each and every one of us as we believe in walking along side of our clients to achieve our marketing goals together. We’d like to share a little bit more about ourselves here, through some personal anecdotes and some killer playlists. Every other week, we’ll be posting a team member spotlight with their very own hand-crafted playlist.
This week, we’re starting off with Alyssa, our Marketing Administrative Assistant, who not only handles the details and operations of our office with ease, she also keeps us supplied with candy thanks to a generous, well-placed, centrally-located candy bowl.
Why did you choose a career in marketing & advertising?
Ever since diving into the world of marketing and advertising, my mission has always been to inspire and educate businesses to be more discoverable, shareable, and memorable. What I love about marketing and advertising is the diversity of clients, electric team atmosphere, and being able to partner with companies and people who truly want to evolve their relationship with a constantly changing customer.
What drew you to Ocreative?
I chose to work at Ocreative because of the instant “at home” feeling I had when first meeting the Ocreative team. I also knew that Ocreative did phenomenal work, and I wanted to be a part of that.
Things I like about Ocreative:
- Laid-back, fun atmosphere
- My team! (including our office pup, Wendy)
- Being proud of the work we produce, particularly the attention to detail that goes into our work
- My desk and the building I work in…it’s truly a dream working in a historic, reconditioned train station. Tons of natural sunlight, original wood floors, and a picturesque open loft that is super cozy!
What is a little-known fact about you?
I have two GIANT Great Danes (their weight combined is just over 275 pounds). One of which is named after my favorite fictional novel character- Sherlock Holmes!
When do you find yourself listening to music the most and why?
I try to incorporate music into just about everything I do- driving, working, cleaning, cooking, relaxing, working out. It just makes life a lot more fun! My favorite time to listen to music is while I’m cooking. I feel like it helps me get a little more creative with the dish I’m making.
What influences your musical taste?
My childhood and mood. My childhood brings in that nostalgic, hippy side of my music tastes and my mood brings in the extensive variety of music I like to listen to- anything from classical to rap.
What inspired you to create and share this playlist?
Our spectacular and sassy SEO/Social Media ninja wizard, Allie Garde, told me I had to.
What is your favorite song on the playlist and why?
Currently, because these cold winter days don’t have enough sunshine: Good Morning by Max Frost
