The Client

The Wisconsin Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WIAAP) is an organization made of pediatric professionals bound together by a mission to improve the health and wellbeing of all infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents in Wisconsin. Most recently, the organization has launched several efforts to improve general vaccination uptake throughout our communities to help children stay on track with their regular wellness immunizations, post COVID-19.

THE REQUEST

WIAAP approached Ocreative to develop a series of social media campaigns that could be used by HMOs and hospital systems throughout Wisconsin to remind and encourage parents to get their children back on track with their regular wellness vaccinations after COVID. During the quarantine, many children missed routine vaccinations, which caused confusion among parents over next steps. The WIAAP team wanted a social media campaign that easily conveyed the childhood vaccination schedule while warmly encouraging parents and guardians to get their children back to the pediatrician’s office.

THE STRATEGY

Ocreative worked with the WIAAP team to identify and target three key demographics throughout Wisconsin that would benefit most from the messaging. Through qualitative market research, demographic analysis, and a deep dive into vaccination outreach, we developed three tailored campaigns with graphics and language specifically designed to drive further engagement and spread awareness.

THE OUTCOME

The final product was a digital suite of over 20 graphics, tailored messaging, and a custom hashtag strategy with clear instructions on how to post and boost across social media. HMO’s, DHS, and WIAAP were able to share this messaging to our target audiences throughout Wisconsin. Ocreative also administered, monitored, and managed the social media campaign on behalf of WIAAP, successfully reaching over 50,000 Wisconsinites. Our vaccination outreach campaign received a Gold Award for Social Media from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts for Health and Wellness.
