The Client
MPL was one of the original cultured marble companies in the US. Although founded back in 1962, MPL continues to be leader in commercial shower industry advancements and technology to this day. The team at MPL focuses on variety, offering tub and shower surrounds in several patterns, colors, textures, and with diverse accessories to help commercial properties like hotels, apartment complexes, senior living, and student housing developments offer luxurious easy-to-clean shower spaces to their tenants. Committed to continuous advancement, MPL tirelessly works to find the perfect balance between style, function, durability, and ease of installation.
THE REQUEST
MPL approached Ocreative to develop new sales collateral that would correspond with their initiative to drive their products to new markets. They wanted an original leave-behind piece that captured the reliability, durability, and flexibility of cultured marble for shower and tub surrounds in commercial applications. The piece had to be memorable, eye-catching, and polished.
THE STRATEGY
We worked with the MPL team to understand their launch plan for each new industry and created custom brochures for each. Rather than the standard tri-fold design, we went with a square 6”x6” die-cut brochure that included two flaps that opened to either side and one that flipped downward from the middle. We used a satin soft-touch texture on the entire piece to create a memorable tactile experience.
Through a series of in-house styled product shoots, we photographed and edited their entire catalogue of patterns and accessories which we used throughout the brochures (and for other collateral). Our team developed custom copy and an original layout to curate and informative and fresh look for MPL’s products.
THE OUTCOME
Our team developed three unique brochures with messaging, graphics, and imagery tailored specifically to each new industry. The MPL team uses these pieces during industry tradeshows and at in-person meetings. We also developed digital versions of each brochure that we included on MPL’s websites. Now their team can share their new sales collateral in an instant.
