The Client

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley is one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs on the west coast and is ranked one of the top 100 Clubs in America. They are dedicated to providing safe spaces for children in their communities to develop and grow as people, as citizens, and as leaders. Their mission is to enhance the lives of young people and their families by providing a positive environment that cultivates academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character, and citizenship.

The Request

The Boys & Girls Club team wanted to help build awareness around their programs and drive membership with a new site that focused on easy navigation for parents and guardians and that enhanced the narrative of the impact Clubs have on the children and teens in their community.

The Strategy

To achieve this, we did a nationwide, cross-comparative market research initiative that laid the foundation for a custom solution that enhanced the usability of their navigation structure and maximized the conversion potential of their website. Each page of their new site was built to drive user action through thoughtful information architecture and well-placed CTAs. To build impact awareness and focus in on that narrative, we used real photos from throughout the Clubs, added pops of color, and interesting design elements to draw the eye to key information throughout the site. We pair this with custom copy and emotive headers written to educate and excite users to tie the whole site together.

The Outcome

The final site is an exciting, beautiful, and functional experience for all ages. Tailored content encourages membership for kids and teens while an emphasis on key statistics and practices validates program benefits helping parents and guardians to feel confident in their children’s participation. There are clear pathways for users to donate to the Clubs and to sign up for programs, maximizing conversions while minimizing administrative work for the Club’s staff. Parents can now easily navigate, view, and source information about the Clubs available in their area and sign up with ease.
