The Client
The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, Inc. (NAGDCA) is the premier provider of education, information, training, and networking opportunities that support plan sponsors and service providers of government-sponsored defined contribution retirement plans. Major events including our annual conference, Industry Roundtable, and National Retirement Security Week help to create successful retirement security outcomes for plan participants across the country.
The Request
The Executive Director of NAGDCA partnered with Ocreative to enhance the narrative around membership benefits, build better navigation for users to access their resources, increase awareness for their events and impact, and to drive higher membership rates.
The Strategy
We began by determining the appropriate hierarchy of information and a successful site map by analyzing existing traffic data, membership surveys, and through interviews and interactions with the NAGDCA leadership team. The design team curated a custom color palette of strong and bold colors to reinforce the strategic structure and placement of information throughout the site. Our development team worked to create a single sign-on system for members to access their account information, member forums, and privileged gated information while maintaining an informative and robust front-facing site.
The Outcome
Strategic calls to action, a thorough internal linking system, custom copy written to market NAGDCA’s services, and real images of NAGDCA members and events combine together to create a lasting and educational impression of the organization. As new users discover the site, they are able to clearly understand the roles and goal of the organization and easily navigate to pertinent information while existing users could easily map the new site and continue to successfully use it as a helpful resource.
